Shrewsbury and Atcham is a local government district with borough status in Shropshire, England. Shrewsbury is the only actual town in the borough and Atcham is included in the name of the borough for historical reasons, although it is only a village. Other notable villages include Ford, Uffington, Pontesbury, Bayston Hill and Bomere Heath.

The borough unsuccesfully applied for city status in the 2000 and 2002 competitions. To the north of the borough is North Shropshire district and to the south is the South Shropshire district. The borough lies in the middle of Shropshire.

The River Severn runs through the borough and in recent years has brought severe and frequent floodings of parts of Shrewsbury and large areas of the countryside.
