Scalpay, Outer Hebrides



         


Scalpay is an island in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland west of Harris, to which it is linked by a bridge. The island has a population of about 400 people, whose main industry is prawn fishing.

Scalpay is also home to Scotland's oldest lighthouse, built in 1788.
