Sanford and Son
Overview
Sanford and Son is a television sitcom, the American remake of the British sitcom Steptoe and Son. Sanford and Son aired on the NBC television network from 1972 until 1977 and starred Redd Foxx and Demond Wilson.
The First Episode
Lamont found a great deal on a porcelain antique set and went to double his money at an auction. He directed his father Fred to bid on the item as well to get the price up and Fred wound up bidding the highest and Lamont had to purchase the item for himself from himself and pay to take his auctioned item back. Before it was all over Fred broke the important antique and Lamont threatened to leave home. Needless to say he didn't leave.
