Sambhaji

Sambhajiraje Bhonsle ascended the throne after Shivaji.

He was educated. He was a scholar of Sanskrit and also eight languages. He fought against the Moguls bravely. Sambhaji was finally captured and killed by Aurangzeb who was trying to prevent the spread of Hindu religion in India.

Sambhaji laid down his life when he was asked to convert to Islam.

Thus, he earned the title of Dharmaweer .
