Roger Scruton
Professor Roger Vernon Scruton (born 27 February 1944) is a controversial British academic philosopher, and founder of Claridge Press. He has also written novels.
Scruton was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge before researching and then lecturing in philosophy in Birkbeck College.
His right-wing political views, particularly on hunting and in the Salisbury Review, have earned him a reputation as a controversial figure.
