Rodney P. Frelinghuysen (born April 29, 1946 in New York, New York) has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives for the 11th New Jersey since 1995.
After graduating from Hobart College in 1969, Frelinghuysen served in the United States Army until 1971. After his military service, Frelinghuysen worked for the Morris County, New Jersey Board of Choosen Freeholders until he was elected as freeholder in 1974.
In 1983, Frelinghuysen resigned as a freeholder to take a seat in the New Jersey General Assembly (the lower house of the New Jersey Legislature), a position he would hold until elected to the House of Representative in 1994.
