Rob Neyer
Rob Neyer is an baseball author and, since 1996, a columnist for ESPN.com. A disciple of sabermetrics legend Bill James, his column is an outlet for everyday fans to gain from the insight that statistics-centered analysis can offer.
His books include Baseball Dynasties, Feeding the Green Monster, Rob Neyer's Big Book of Baseball Lineups, and The Neyer/James Guide to Pitchers, co-authored with Bill James.
Above all, he is perhaps best known for the head shot that used to accompany his stories on ESPN.com, in which he wore a flannel shirt.
