Rendezvous

Rendezvous is the anglification of the French word Rendez-vous meaning meeting. (literally, meet you); it is pronounced RAHN-day-voo. In a general sense, it means any type of meeting or gathering, often in a military sense.

Rendez-Vous is the title of an album and a song by the French artist Jean Michel Jarre.
Apple Rendezvous is the Apple Computer brand name for the IETF draft standard Zeroconf.
Two spacecraft may have a rendezvous after synchronizing velocity; this may be followed by docking and people and goods going from one to the other.
