Redwood National and State Parks



         


Established in 1968 from several smaller state parks, Redwood National Park is a United States National Park on the northern coast of California between Eureka and Crescent City. It comprosises most of the remaining old-growth redwood forest in existence and much restored forest territory as well. The park area is an International Biosphere Reserve and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The park has several scenic drives and miles of hiking trails. The park averages 400,000 visitors per year.
