Randy Katz is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He holds an AB degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Cornell University, and an MS and PhD in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley. He was instrumental in the development of the RAID concept for computer storage.
