Racial stereotype

Racial stereotype is a form of stereotype based on one's race. It may be divides into two categories: Negative stereotype and positive stereotype.

Example of a negative stereotype:

• All black people are criminals
• All Jews have big noses
• All Italians are greasy

Example of a positive stereotype:

• All Asian people are intelligent (Model minority)
• All Arabs cook good
• All White people are hillbillies

Comparatively, both forms of stereotype can be harmful, but, the positive stereotype tends to more often be accepted as fact due to other peoples lack of knowledge of the subject being positively stereotyped.
