Professional wrestling in United Kingdom
British Wrestling or UK Wrestling is Professional wrestling performed within the boundaries of the United Kingdom.
British wrestling became popular when World of Sport was Launched and the sport remained a mainstay of British culture form the later 1960s until World of Sport's cancellation in 1985.
Up until recently British wrestling has taken a back seat to American Wrestling as no British Television company would show Wrestling. During this time, smaller Wrestling Companies have grown and entertain audiences with shows.
The British style of wrestling is more technically orientated as opposed to the powerful moves displayed by their American counterparts.
More recently though, with the advent of Digital Satellite television British Wrestling has begun to make a resurgence, albeit with some American influence.
