- Hiya! The upload file page is, imho, kind of a mess. It sure says a few different things in a few different places. Certainly, if you upload a picture you took, and tick the "I affirm.." checkbox, you're releasing it under the GFDL. The thing is, some people are working through images with no licensing info, and I believe they're running reports to find images with no license tag (e.g. {{GFDL}}, {{PD}}, {{fairuse}}, etc.) that need to be looked at. While it would only take a second to note that your picture was one you'd taken and uploaded yourself, it'd be nice if it didn't show up on the reports at all. Anyway, I'll pop a {{GFDL}} tag on it. :-)
- btw when I went to your user page, I did a bit of a double-take, 'cos there's a friend of mine from Sydney who is currently living in China, and at first rapid glance at your photo, you look kind of similar. He's in Shanghai, though. —Stormie 03:47, Sep 22, 2004 (UTC)
