The Porsche 912 is a sports car automobile made by Porsche. It is basically the body of the Porsche 911 with the engine of the Porsche 356. Porsche intended the 912 to be an entry level model, and it was later replaced by the Porsche 914. Over 30,000 cars were produced between 1965 and 1969 and a further 2,000 when the car was re-introduced for a short period in 1975.
