Pietro Ziani was one of the Doges of Venice. Son of Sebastian Ziani.
42nd doge of Venice 1205-1229, abdicated later. Successor to Enrico Dandolo. He was first doge to demand oath from Venice colony in Constantinople. In 1210 signed treaty with despotate of Epyrus under Michael Comnen to allow free trade to Venetian traders.
