Phalerum

Faliro or Faliron/Phaliron (Greek: Pháliro, Latin: Phaleron, Phalerum) is a community 8 km SW of downtown Athens. The area is divided into two municipalities Palaio Faliro and Neo Faliro. Communes that border Phaliron are Kallithea, Nea Smyrni, and Alimos. The bay in the southwest is named Phaleron Bay and is lined near Poseidonos Avenue. Its geography is mostly made up of hills offshore. Olympic venues for the 2004 Summer Olympic Games is located near the Saronic shoreline.
