The Peugeot 307 is a car produced by Peugeot, launched in 2001 to succeed the 306. The Peugeot 307's predecessor, the 306, was the best selling Peugeot in Britain during its eight-year production life (1993 to 2001). The 307 is a totally different car to the 306, with improved styling and refinement, as well as being more spacious.
When the 307 was launched, it was sold as a three and five-door hatchback. 2002 saw the launch of a mini MPV (the 307 SW) and an estate. The 307CC is a coupe-cabriolet with a folding steel roof.
The Peugeot 307 replaced the very successful 206 in World Rally Championship racing in 2004. The vehicle, nicknamed "The Flying Frog," is based on the coupe-carbriolet model. So far, the vehicle has been plagued by technical problems and has only begun to come into its element in competition.
