Petey Piranha is a fictional character in the Super Mario series. It is giant piranha plant. He can be distinguished from other piranha plants by the ring of yellow petals around his head, his ability to fly by flapping his leaflike arms, his little feet, and his white-spotted red underpants.
Petey made his debut appearance in Super Mario Sunshine as Mario's enemy. He has since appeared as a secret playable character in both Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (who drives well for something that has no eyes) and Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, and has also appeared (albeit breifly) in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.
