Peter Gibbons

Peter Gibbons is a fictional character in the 1999 movie Office Space. The role of Peter Gibbons is played by Ron Livingston.

Peter Gibbons is a software engineer at a company named Initech, a hellish company plagued by too much management and the typical everyday annoyanced of office work in general. He is a very unhappy man at this work, and his story ends where he lives content as a worker at a construction company, after having realized his dream of doing absolutely nothing instead of working.

He is often portrayed as a sort of Messiah to the software engineering community, although that is far from the intent of the 1999 movie.
