Peleg (פלג "Division", Standard Hebrew Péleg / Páleg, Tiberian Hebrew Péleḡ / Pāleḡ) is one of the two sons of Eber the eponymous ancestor of the Hebrews mentioned in the biblical Table of Nations. Interpreters of this table identify his nation with the aboriginal Balkan Pelasgs. According to traditions it was during the time of Peleg that the earth was divided after the failure of Nimrod's Tower of babel.
