The Mauritanian ouguiya (ISO 4217: MRO) is the currency of Mauritania. The only circulating currency whose division units are not based on a power of ten, each ouguiya is comprised of five khoums خمس. However, since ?1 will get you about 314 MRO (conversion as of 10 Dec 2003 in Los Angeles), the khoums may have fallen into disuse as a unit of transaction some time ago.
