ORF
ORF is the National Austrian Broadcasting Corporation. The ORF dominates Austrian Media, Austria was the last country in Europa after Albania to allow national private television.
ORF broadcast its prime-time news on both channels at the same time reaching a market penetation of two thirds. ORF was long ruled by proporz and is nowadays considered to be controlled by the current government.

The ORF radio stations are broadcasted terrestrial and via the digital programme of the Astra satellite system.

The ORF television channels are broadcasted terrestrial and via the digital programme of the Astra satellite system. Via satellite ORF1 and ORF2 are encrypted allowing only austrian citizens and payers of the austrian broadcasting fees (GIS) to watch them.
