Oklahoma State University



         


Oklahoma State University is a institution of higher learning located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The university was founded in 1890 as a land-grant university, known as Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College. It became OSU in 1957. The university is known for its College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and College of Veterinary Medicine.

Famous alumni include Joel Hefley, Houston Nutt, Allie Reynolds, Stuart Roosa, Pat Smith, Garth Brooks and Barry Sanders. George Jewsbury was a professor at OSU for a number of years.
