Nottingham Trent University is a university in Nottingham, England. It was founded as Trent Polytechnic (later Nottingham Polytechinc) in 1970 before gaining its university status in 1992. It is one of the largest new universities in the United Kingdom with over 24,000 students.
The Nottingham Trent University is split into three campuses.
The university is currently split into eight Schools and Faculties.
The City campus recently benefitted from the completion of the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) light rail system which provides a stop outside the Boots Library.
The university also recently joined forces with Microsoft to form the Offical Education Support Centre (ESC) for the UK educational sector.
