Northern Premier League First Division



         


The Northern Premier League First Division is an football league covering the north of England. From the 2004-05 season it sits at step 4 of the National League System.

The top two teams, together with the winners of a playoff between the 3rd to 6th places, are promoted to a step 3 league (most likely the Northern Premier League Premier Division). The bottom two clubs may be relegated to one of several step 5 leagues.

Member clubs (2004-05)

A.F.C. Telford United were placed into this division by the Football Association; if the NPL annual meeting does not ratify this, Telford will join a league feeding into the NPL and the NPL First Division vacancy will go to Newcastle Town or Goole Town.
