The Northampton Balloon Festival is an annual event held in the English town of Northampton, in the Racecourse park. Managed by the Borough Council, it's held over a Friday, Saturday and Sunday in mid-August. The main features of the festival are the twice-daily hot air balloon lifts, but other attractions include trade stalls, live music and arena entertainment.
In 2003 the festival drew criticism for being unexciting, so for 2004 the council have booked more popular music acts: the Sugababes, Big Brovaz, and Ronan Keating.
