Normanton is a southern suburb of the city of Derby in Derbyshire, England, situated approximately two miles south of the city centre. Neighbouring suburbs include Littleover and Pear Tree.

Normanton is reputedly notable for a high concentration of food outlets from the Indian sub-continent.


Normanton in Queensland, Australia is a small cattle town and farming centre just south of the Gulf of Carpenteria. Among its most notable features is a statue of a 7-metre long salt water crocodile, the largest ever shot.
