Newsworld International is an American cable news channel.
It was launched by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 1994, and aired much of the same programming as CBC Newsworld in Canada. In 1997, the channel was sold to one of the companies which would become Vivendi Universal.
In 2004, the channel was purchased by former Vice-President of the United States Al Gore and Joel Hyatt. The programming continues to be provided by the CBC, and contains a mix of CBC and other international newscasts.
