Namur (Namen in Dutch) is a city and a municipality located in the Belgian province of Namur, of which it is the capital. It is also the capital of Wallonia, one of the three regions of Belgium. On January 1st, 2002 Namur had a total population of 105,393 (50,363 males and 55,030 females). The total area is 175.75 km² which gives a population density of 599.68 inhabitants per km& sup2;.The municipality of Namur is build on 3 diferant regions : North : "Hesbaye", South East: "Condroz" South West : "Entre Sambre et Meuse" en center along the rever "La Meuse" and her affluent "La Sambre" : "Les Ardennes Namuroises" +/- 4 km The language spoken is French.
