Customs service is available for aircraft arriving from Canada. As Minot International has no scheduled passenger airline service out of the country, some people from larger cities claim it is not a "true" international airport. However, it is hardly uncommon for airports in both the northern and southern tiers to be called "International" -- the only requirement for the designation is customs service.
