Middlesbrough F.C. are an

Middlesbrough. Their manager is

Middlesbrough won the
League Cup in
2004, the club's first major trophy since its formation in
1876.
Members of Middlesbrough cricket club founded Middlesbrough football club in 1875, this was a common practice at the time as football was seen as a game to be played in the off-season of
cricket.
Middlesbrough FC turned professional in 1889 however in 1892 turned amateur again then 1899 once more became professional.
Boro faced financial problems in the 1980s and was forced to liquidate in 1986 however at the end of year it was brought back to life
