Microsoft Game Studios
Microsoft Game Studios is a conglomerate of third-party video game developers and publishers who have exclusive contracts with Microsoft to develop and publish games for the Xbox and PC under the Microsoft Game Studios brand.
Microsoft Game Studios is a division of Microsoft that originally released PC games until 2001 and beyond when it released games for both the PC and their game console, the Xbox. One of their high-profile developers, Rare, was acquired from Nintendo in 2002 and it's been rumored that Microsoft is now trying to acquire Japanese game development companies to add to their Microsoft Game Studios lineup of developers and publishers.
