Mercedes-Benz X-Class



         


DaimlerChrysler AG planned to assemble a series of automobile models to compete with the BMW X3, the Land Rover Freelander, and possibly others, including the Volvo XC60. DaimlerChrysler would brand the series under Mercedes-Benz. The name of this series is not yet known, but it might be "X-Class". Indeed, DaimlerChrysler AG has already made preperations to use that name.

It is speculated that the X-Class will share the C-Class platform with the Smart Formore. It would be built in Brazil.
