Malatya is a city in south-eastern Turkey, and the capital of Malatya Province. It is also known by its older name of Malatia. An even older name (of the ancient Hittite city) was Milid (today's Aslantepe).
Malatya is the home of İnönü Üniversitesi
It has a population of 381,081.
