Massey University



         


Massey University is based in Palmerston North, New Zealand with additional campuses in Wellington and Auckland. Most of its degrees are offered extramurally nationwide. It is one of the largest educational institutions in the country.

Founded in 1927 as Massey University Agricultural College, a part of the University of New Zealand, it became independent upon that University's demise in 1961.

Its science, design, agriculture, education and business degrees are well regarded. It is also the only New Zealand university that offers aviation and veterinary degrees.

It is named after William Massey, a former New Zealand
