Maryon Moody

Maryon Elspeth Pearson (1902 - 1991) was the wife of Lester Bowles Pearson, the 14th Prime Minister of Canada.

Born Maryon Elspeth Moody, she married Lester Pearson on August 22, 1925. They met at the University of Toronto, where he was a teacher and she was a student. Determined to get a good grade, she became engaged to him in March 1924.

They had one son, Geoffrey, and one daughter, Patricia. Geoffrey is married to Canadian Senator Landon Pearson. National Post journalist Spouses of the Prime Ministers of Canada
