Martie Erwin, also known as Martie Seidel and Martie Maguire, (born October 12, 1969) is a country music songwriter, recording artist and musician, born and residing in Dallas. She is married to Irishman Gareth Maguire. For more details see
Martie is a founding member and leader of the Dixie Chicks. Her sister Emily Erwin is also part of the Dixie Chicks. The group has been performing since 1989.
Martie plays fiddle and mandolin in the group.
