Marine Corps Base Quantico
The Marine Corps Base Quantico is the site of one of the largest United States Marine Corps bases in the world. It is the site of the Marine Corps Combat Development Command, and both the United States Drug Enforcement Administration's training academy and the FBI Academy are located on the base. A replica of the Marine Corps War Memorial stands in the entrance to the base. The original stands at the north end of Arlington National Cemetery.
Also Hostage Rescue Team, USMC Museum (pending construction), The Basic School (TBS), Officer Candidate School (OCS), Marine Corps University (MCU), and the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) activities are located aboard MCB Quantico.
The Marine Corps Base Quantico completely surrounds the Town of Quantico. Access to the town is possible only through the base, or by amphibious landing from the Potomac River.
