Margot Kidder (October 17 1948 - ), Canadian actress and writer, born Margaret Ruth Kidder in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.
Very memorable in the Canadian horror movie Black Christmas (1974) directed by Bob Clark.
She played Lois Lane to Christopher Reeve's Clark Kent in the 1980s films Superman and Superman II.
Margot Kidder has spoken frankly about her bipolar disorder. She briefly dated Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau.
She also played the voice of Gaya in the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series The New Adventures of Captain Planet.
