Manitoba general election, 1988
The 1988 Manitoba election resulted in a hung parliament. The Progressive Conservatives won 25 seats, as against 20 for the Liberals and 12 for the New Democratic Party.
The Progressive Conservatives were able to form government with the unofficial support of the NDP. It may be noted that both parties were concerned about the possibility of a Liberal victory in the next election.
