Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda (Swamiji), born on August 15, 1945 in Rajasthan, India, and has been living in Vienna, Austria since 1972.
His spiritual lineage derives from the Master of the Himalayas Siddha Guru Sri Alakh Puriji, Paramyogeshwar Sri Devpuriji who was consecrated and acknowledged by his disciples as an incarnation of Lord Shiva, Bhagwan Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji who lived from 1828 to 1963 in Rajasthan, known by his disciples as an incarnation of Divine Love and Wisdom, and Dharmsamrat Paramhans Swami Madhavanandaji (1923-2003), the successor of Sri Mahaprabhuji and spiritual master of Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda.
Swamiji is the author of the master-system Yoga in Daily Life and founder of the International Sri Deep Madhavananda Ashram Fellowship and Yoga in Daily Life ashrams and centres worldwide. He has dedicated his whole life to helping humanity through yoga and to evoking the ancient spiritual heritage of Sat Sanatana Dharma. Furthermore he is engaged in numerous social and humanitarian activities. He has established many charitable projects, and initiated global fundraising programs for the victims of natural disasters as well as worldwide prayers and meditations for World peace.
