Mack Reynolds

Mack Reynolds (Dallas McCord Reynolds) (1917 - 1983) was an American pulp science fiction magazine author. Many of his stories were published in Galaxy Magazine and Worlds of If Magazine. He was an organizer for the Socialist Labor Party and consequently many of his stories have a reformist theme. He was quite popular in the 1960's but his work was ultimately more entertaining than literary and is out of print today.

Most of his stories took place in Utopian Societies, many of which fulfilled L.L. Zamenhof's dream of Esperanto used world-wide as a universal second language. His novels predicted many things which have come, pocket computers, world-wide networks with information available at fingertips.
