M.G. Vassanji



         


Moyez G. Vassanji (who writes as M.G. Vassanji) is a Kenyan/Canadian novelist.

Vassanji was born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1950, and raised in Tanzania. He moved to Canada in 1978, and lives in Toronto, Ontario.

He has published five novels:

Vassanji won the inaugural Giller Prize in 1994 for The Book of Secrets. He also won the 2003 Giller Prize for The In-Between World of Vikram Lall, and is to date the only writer to have won this prize more than once.
