Lundenwic

Lundenwic was the name given to London during the 7th, 8th and 9th centuries AD when London was situated away from the fortified Roman City of London. It was 'rediscovered' during excavations organised by the Museum of London's Archaeological Service.

See MOLAS and History of London pages for further details.
