Luleå is a Municipality in Norrbotten County, in northern Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 1807.3 km². Of the total population of 71652, 36201 are male, and 35451 are female. The population density of the community is 40 inhabitants per km².
The Church Village of Gammelstad, outside Luleå is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
