Ludova strana - Hnutie za demokraticke Slovensko
The People's Party - Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (Slovak: Ľudová strana - Hnutie za demokratické Slovensko) is a political party in Slovakia. It is the largest single party in the legislature, with 36 of 150 seats, but is excluded from the coalition government led by the Slovak Democratic and Christian Union. It is led by Vladimír Mečiar. The party was called just "Movement for a Democratic Slovakia" in the 1990's. See Vladimir Meciar for further details.
