Low-grade fever



         


In medicine, low-grade fever is the running of continuous fever, often hardly noticeable apart from through unspecific complaints. It is an aspecific finding, but occurs in many diseases, ranging from infectious (viral infections or infective endocarditis) and autoimmune and malignant causes.

Low-grade fever can be defined as continuous or fluctuating fever that never exceeds 38.5 Celsius.
