LMule

LMule was an early attempt to bring an eMule like client to Linux. Alternative applications were at the time command line applications whilst LMule was very similar to eMule in look and feel. As sometimes happens with open source projects, the developers fell out with one another, spawning the fork XMule which subsequently forked to produce aMule, again with some bitterness between the developers. At the time of writing (July 2004), the LMule and Xmule projects are defunct, whilst the aMule project continues in active development.
