Lloyd Bacon



         


Lloyd Bacon (1889-1955) was a screen, stage, vaudeville actor and film director.

He first started in films with Charlie Chaplin and Bronco Billy Anderson.

He directed over a hundred films between 1920 and 1955. As an actor he appeared in more than 40.

He is best known as director of such classics as 1933's 42nd Street, 1938's A Slight Case of Murder", and 1940s Knute Rockne All American starring Ronald Reagan.

As an actor he is best known for supporting Chaplin in such films as 1915's The Tramp, The Champion" and 1917's Easy Street.
