Llandudno is a seaside resort town in North Wales, in the county borough of Conwy. It is on the north coast, between Bangor and Rhyl, and has a population of about 20,000. The town's main beach lies between the Great Orme and Little Orme.
Famous people include multi-capped Welsh international footballers Neville Southall and Joey Jones. Australian ex-PM the late Billy Hughes attended school in Llandudno.
The town's pier was built in 1878, and is over 2,200 feet in length. It was damaged by fire in 1994, but has since been well restored, and is a Grade II listed building.
